The Geissele Scope Mount Replica are made from 6065-T6 High Strength Aluminum.  To create a mount with the best possible return to zero, we machine the base from a single piece of billet aluminum.  This allows us to add pockets and ribs throughout the mount for added strength and rigidity. Another advantage of machining our mount base from a single piece of aluminum is that we are able to create a mount with cap locations that will suit a wide variety of scopes.

 

While Geissele Scope Mount Replica previously featured serialized caps on our mounts, after ongoing testing and evaluation, we found that the caps can be interchanged between base towers without any loss of precision or return-to-zero. You can expect the same quality and performance, but without the hassle of a damaged or missing cap preventing repair of your mount.
